Job Description

The Director will develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts fundraising program to generate private gift support for the University Libraries. This position is also directly responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects. A competitive salary package includesopportunity to earn incentive pay as additional income based on exceeding performance metrics.

The Institutional Advancement office is currently raising funds for The Centennial Campaign, an unprecedented effort to raise substantial new resources for Kent State’s students, faculty and programs. Kent State completed its first major capital campaign in 2003, surpassing a $100-million goal by $22 million.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; three years progressively responsible fundraising and/or sales experience. Higher education fundraising is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with major donors. Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
